A friend sent me this link while I was at my sisters wedding yesterday! I have not been able to find anymore info about it since. Has anyone heard anything else? Where are my Pittsburghers at? It looks like from the pic that only dry goods would have been damaged, and maybe the pond in front. I might drive by after we get home, if I don't fall right to sleep. We have been traveling since 7pm yesterday and I am typing this at a rest stop lol.

First I have heard about it. I haven't been out there in a couple months. Looks like everything is ok though

Yeah it seems like none of the tanks with livestock would have been damaged ( and only freshwater if anything haha) and perhaps some of the empty tanks for sale. I am curious when they will open back up, and how somebody got enough speed to get that far in with how small the parking lot is and 22 right there lol. Hopefully nobody was injured!

Oh I was finally able to watch the video and it seems nobody was hurt and they managed to miss both the pond and the tanks!

My grandparents used to live Monroeville. Spent lots of time there as a kid.
There is a pretty decent amount of things to do there, but I guess living 5 minutes down the road makes it a boring place for me lol. We were just in Nantucket, so that was a nice change of scenery.

Oh I drove past and it seems they are open. The window was boarded up still but there were a lot of cars in the parking lot. That's a relief lol.

I bought my car just up the street from Elmer's. It's a busy spot, but I can't see how someone could navigate through the traffic, to get going quick enough to run an elantra in there. I can't imagine it was a mere accident, especially if the driver was sober.

Right! We were talking about it as we drove by. They must have been in a hurry to get their fish home and punched it, but had it in drive instead of reverse haha.

It's a wonder no one was hurt. According to the news, no one was. Sounds like a school bus got driven into a vitamin store up the road.

Oh yeah, that would have been terrible! And I remember that. I believe the bus was stolen too.

Yeah it absolutely blew my mind. Like you guys, I'd love to know how someone managed to pull this off. The parking lot setup seems like it would be almost impossible.
That's exactly what I was saying! I feel like they would have started off on the other side of 22 to even get through the doors lol. Hopefully whoever did it isn't a member here that feels like we are ripping on them. I legitimately want to know how it happened lol.

It was an older woman who pulled into the lot and instead of hitting the brakes hit the gas. She jumped the curb and went thru the door.

Crazy my family and I were there a couple hours before it happened. My daughter always sits on the ponds ledge while I shop.

Omg don't tell me that! Thank goodness you decided to go when you did and nobody got hurt! My son has also sat on the pond ledge, for 5 seconds at a time before he is off running again, but it can only take those 5 seconds! Now i am going to follow uncomfortably close to my kid for a few hours until I power down out of overprotective mom mode....

I am so glad to hear everyone is ok and it is just the building that was damaged. I have to tell you seeing Elmers Aquarium brought back a lot of good memories. My mom used to take me there all the time over 35 years ago when I was a kid. I used to drive her nuts unless she stopped. I have been out of the area since 91 and I was so happy to see Elmers still going strong.

We would have told you all about it, as I stood there for over an hour directing club members to primantis in light of Elmers being closed for our meeting.

hybridazn - you shouldn't have been there hours before the crash, you should have been there a couple hours after the crash for the PMASI meeting.

Haha you caught me, I really need to attend a meeting soon. It's been far too long. That day we were on our way to ohio for a birthday party. I'll try to attend the next one :)

Oh dang, I forgot all about that! I didn't even think about that being the day of the meeting either! Thank goodness it happened earlier when there was less people! And you got to go to Primanti's, now I know what I am having for dinner;)
