Just thought I'd share that I moved flow from my 400gph evo and now my CAR's are almost direct flow of it and they are very happy. I had some other polps near them that I had to move because they were clearly unhappy and couldn't take the flow. But the CAR's perked up to the best I have seen them and I actually think I can see them smiling!

I wouldn't place them in front of a vortech. But compared to the others I have it for sure likes much higher flow. It's about 6-7" just off center of a 400gph ph.

I have yet to meet a polyp that doesn't like being blasted with a lot of flow. GPH is also not a very useful metric as 1000 gph through a 1/4" hole produces very high velocity and 1000 gph through a 3" PVC pipe produces very low velocity flow. My Candy Apple Reds are actually visible early on in this video I made only to show flow on my tank:

same here, mine are about 2 feet from my mp60 and get beat on a bit but don't even flinch when the mp really ramps up.

i have yet to see a z/p that doesn't handle extremely high flow. just be aware that constant flow in one direction tends to force growth in that direction. randomizing it is ideal
