Carbon and GFO in tank

So how bad is it that I forgot the plate in my reactor and I got about 2 tables spoons of each Carbon and GFO in my sump? Most all of it appears to be in the sump and refugium as I have a prefilter sponge over my return pump. Will this poison my tank? I am going to do a 50g water change in the morning. Any info or help would be appreciated. WOW I hate being dumb. Awesome day at RAP then I think I'll do my tank a favor and change out the reactor media and I do this. Cripes.

This won't poison your tank at all. Clean as much as you can out of the sump and don't worry about it. A water change is not necessary.

If GFO and carbon were poisonous, you wouldn't be able to run it in a reactor.

Yeah I get it being not poisonous contained in the reactor, I was more worried about it floating around the tank landing on corals etc.

Not a problem. I've dumped GAC directly into my sump in a toxin emergency.

Found this thread after getting a Triton test back with quite high levels of Tin, Aluminum, Bromide, and Lithium. They suggested that I look for faulty equipment, etc.

The only thing I can figure is that it was either Marine Pure Bio Balls or the fact that there had apparently been some GFO in my sump for a few months.

I vacuumed out the GFO (4-5 tablespoons) and removed the Marine Pure balls.

Should I continue looking for a different culprit, or do you think it was probably one of these?

I read in an unrelated thread about someone who had experienced metal traces after adding Marine Pure. That is why I removed it to be safe.
