carbon doser clicking noise

I just installed a carbondoser. it is making a clicking noise each time it releases a bubble. is this normal? I am expecting something at this price range to not be this loud. did i do something wrong? Please help.

I can't hear mine making a clicking noise, but it is in the sump area which is pretty noisy already.
