Trying to get my calcium reactor up and running but for some reason the carbon doser is not pushing out the CO2. It’s a older model. Any quick fix things I can try to get it to try and work?

What is the pressure coming out of the regulator? It might need 10 or more PSI to work - you can turn it up, but I would not go too far over 20.

They can rust shut. If it will just not work at all, then you might need disassemble it and see which pieces need replacing. I have to put my CarbonDoser Box onto a different regulator since the one that came with it just junk and rusted up.

Yes it’s rusted up. I have another regulator but the fittings are smaller then the carbon doser ones. I got it working now. Took it apart and cleaned it out. Now I have to figure out the count. My system right now only uses about 30mls or alk. Going to start on 3 bubbles per minute

10 bubbles to 40 drips is a good ratio. Of course, this can be kinda crazy since drips are not uniform in size.

You want the dKh of the effluent to be over 20. Don't worry about the pH in the reactor or the effluent. Once you get this dialed in with a constant/steady effluent around, or over, 20, then you can count bubbles and mls and adjust for tank demand in that same ratio.

Thanks JDA. I’m using a old minical reactor so I have to go by the PH coming out for now.

Reactor does not matter. Just test the effluent dKh with Saliftert, Red Sea or whatever you check alk with.
