What is the best method for carbon dosing?

You mean the best chemical to add, or the method of adding it?

IMO, lots of them work well, but I choose to use vinegar dosed through the daylight hours using a dosing pump.

Dosing during daylight hours is because of the oxygen, right?

I use vinegar, keeps cyano and get 25L drum here for next to nothing

Yes, primarily O2 and also the pH lowering.

Same thng here. Used to dose with kalk through my ATO, but found this to be much more consistent and accurate

I dose Vodka, and do it with or without the lights on, doesn't affect the tank.
