carbon dosing, next step.

I started vinegar dosing about 8 weeks ago. Before dosing my nitrates were stuck at 20. In the last two weeks they've fallen to 5. I want to eventually aim for about 1 or 2. My tank is a mixed reef with SPS dominance. Currently dosing 120 ml of vinegar in 8 hourly doses during lights on. How much do I decrease my dose when I get to goal? I know I might need to further adjust based on what the tank does, just wondering where to start once at goal.

The dose at goal is related to how much you feed, and is best determined by trial and error.

How much are you dosing now?

I might drop by half in the next week or so and see what happens over several weeks.

I'm dosing 120 ml of vinegar/day now. I'll cut it back to 60 then late next week and monitor. Thanks Randy
