I have been dosing TM Bacto Balance for 1 week. It lowered my nitrates from 7.4 to 4.7. My Phosphates were .08. It has not lowered it at all. Is this common? I also have been using Rowa Phos and it will not lower below .08. I have few fish in a 200 gallon system.
Any thoughts on lowering phosphates or is this a good level. I am afraid crabon dosing will eliminate all nitrates and have a worse problem. I do have diatoms on sand that will not go away. I just purchased some snails to see if theta would work.
