I am currently removing all fish from my 180 reef to treat them in a 55 gal qt and run the dt fallow for 72 days, just to prevent ich and parasites in future (will be running all new additions through cupramine for 4-5 weeks before being added to either 180 from here out.

The tank they are coming out of gets vodka dosed daily and has for a bit over one month. Should I dose the dt still in absense of much of the bio load? Also, can I dose in the 55 qt as well while treating with cupramine?

I also have dosed sea chem stability in there, added sponge from the display tank, will move about ten gallons from the display tank, and have lots of other sponge for the bacteria to grow on in my bio wheel filter hob. I've got two 1300 gph wave makers for 02, another pump as well to aid for the Achilles and Angels that will demand lots of 02.

I will dose stability daily for at least the first few weeks and change water when the ammonia alert badge begins to show green.

Can I also dose another product called Fritz zyme 9 that adds bacteria (I think nothing else) at the same time?

Thanks guys. My adventure begins in the am removing rocks, coral, then fish, then re-aquascaping. Fun!

What are your nitrates like in the DT? If they are elevated, I would keep dosing vodka/vinegar until they get down to the level you want.

You should be able to safely mix different bacteria in a bottle products.

I do not know whether or not you can safely mix vodka/vinegar with Cupramine. Sounds like a question for Randy. I would be concerned about a possible bacterial bloom mixing the two.
