I like the no3po4x. Started using it last summer. Had problems keeping nitrates below 15-20. Now they are at 0. Corals that sat for months with no growth and a muddy green color are growing like weeds and getting so much color.

I just received my biopellet reactor and new skimmer. I can't wait to get it going and see if it works like I have read about. I went with a recirculating skimmer to feed it directly from the biopellets. Hoping this works well to avoid dosing. I wasn't trying to get after ya mike lol. Just sounded like a red sea salesman there for a bit ;) I'll check out the link

I liked the biopellets. But just as they would start working good I would get spiroid worms in the reactor. They caused the biopellets to stick to them which resulted in the pellets jamming up the reactor in a few days. Took it down 3 times and used vinegar soak. Just to have it do it again. That is the only reason I took it down and started with the no3po4x

I've heard that a lot about pellets clogging up the reactor.

Thanks for the link Mike, I'll check it out when I get home

I've learned a couple of things about the pellets. Don't fill the reactor over 1/2 way(so make sure you have the right sized reactor), let them soak for a day(this will help to stop them from floating), and just give it enough flow to keep it fluidized(about the same as you do for GFO). I've never had a spiroid worm problem, but I do keep a prefilter on the pump, so that may help.
