I'm looking for suggestions on easy to service/change media reactors for my 210g build.

I'd like to make maintenance tasks as simple as possible and looking for equipment that supports that idea.

I have a dual BRS Reactor. Very convenient, separate canisters, run off one pump. Changing out media in canisters isn't all that bad, however I have never had any other reactor so I can't speak on the ease of service

I have a Next Reef MR1 that I like, but is a little messy changing out the media. I ordered the BRS Reactor to regenerate GFO. Looks like it should be a little easier to change out media..

i setting up a 180 and looking also for Gfo & carbon reactors the ones i have now are not easy to change and get clogged at the top we’ll be following

I'm using Avast Marine reactors they work very well and you can buy the kit and put it together yourself if you want it's alot cheaper that way.

I've been moving to BRS' both regular and "Jumbo" reactors ~~~ my aging hands don't appreciate opening & closing reactors that use thumbscrews. Their reactor wrenches are a god-send for old farts...

BRS does have a "Deluxe" version of their regular sized reactor, but I have absolutely no idea why it is called "Deluxe" and thus better than their regular reactors.

I also use the BRS dual reactor. It can be purchased with or without a motor. I plumbed the reactor to my system so that a purchase of the motor was not required.

What size is your tank? You could possible get away with mixing the media together. You might burn through a bit more GFO than needed but as far as maintenance it makes it a breeze. This is dependent on your total volume though.

EDIT: just saw your tag line of a 210.... probably too much volume to mix it together unless you get one of the "jumbo" BRS reactors. One of their regular duel reactors should do the job though. Depending on your return plumbing you could maybe run it off a manifold.

The BRS dual reactor only holds 2 cups of gfo on a 210 gallon tank you need at least three cups unless you run high capacity gfo.
