carbon in ato

I want to free up a head on my dosing pump and i'm wondering if i could add carbon to the ato.
I know the dose will change with the posable Evaporation amount change.

You mean organic carbon like vodka or vinegar?

My concern would be bacterial growth in it since you need to reduce the concentration of organic to the point where it no longer inhibits bacterial growth.
