I'm wanting to use flatworm exit to get rid of some red planaria, and read that it would be best to run carbon after dosing. Since I don't normally run carbon, I'm not exactly sure of how to use it. Would I be able to use something like the Red Sea Reef Spec carbon, put it in a bag and rinse off the dust, and put it in a hang on back filter to run it?

I don't normally use a hang on back filter, but read that it's best to put carbon in a place that has good water flow, so thought maybe putting it in a filter would work since I happen to have an extra filter on hand.
