Carbon or Zeolite in QT tank?

Should I run carbon in my QT tank? I have a sponge filter and bio balls.
Could I run Pro-Carb-Z? It's carbon with zeolite (which is supposed to remove ammonia, but I've heard conflicting sides about whether it works in saltwater)

I can't comment on zeolite, havn't used it or read up on it. But I see no reason not to run the carbon. Unless you were medicating the tank, than maybe not.

I would take the bioballs out. To do this take out about half this week then next week take out the rest. Why not run carbon I think the positives greatly outweigh the negatives.

Zeolite is made for something entirely different than carbon. Its a lot to go into so read up on when you have time if you want. Just like the other poster mentioned, pull the bioballs out slowly and run a good carbon.

I started using zeolite in my qt as I wasn't able to control the ammonia levels. I setup the 20 gal qt tank using dt water and I do frequent water changes of about 5-10 gal and this seems to be helping.

Thoughts?
