Carbon reactor and pump size

I have a 265 gallon tank and 60 additional actual gallons in the sump. I have a Reef Octopus media reactor with a pump they supplied. It only runs a couple of days before it won’t push any water thru it with it wide open. Does anyone have this reactor and change to a new pump, what size, brand etc. Did you have to buy any clamps, adapters or hoses to make it work?

Also interested in those with other setups. What do you have that is working for you, brand, pump size etc. Thanks
 
I have had those units with the tube down the middle. I do not like them. Its personal preference. I have GEO units that are made for me without the down tube. Flow is from the bottom up. I run them off my main return pump with a manifold. The return pump is throttled down to about 80%. You can always throttle back a too strong pump but can never make a under powered pump over perform. I use a
