Carbon reactor placement

so, i have a bubble magnus reactor. its one of those hang on back ones. would it be more effective in the sump or in the tank? its kinda ugly hanging in my tank right now.

It’s not going to make much difference performance wise but I would put it in your sump just to get it out of your display.
