carbon should i use, ok but how?

i have a 90 gallon LPS reef tank which recently i bought redsee carbon and the LFS tolled me use 70 g
of carbon in my every day and change it every month , but another LFS tolled me to use 70 g 2 hours every day so i'm kinda confuse cos someone said use it once in a week .!!!!!! so please explain me how to use carbon in my tank and is it really necessary for keeping reef ?

I'd use a small amount of activated carbon 24/7. There are lots of different ways to use it and none are clearly best, but I see little reason to make it complicated by starting and stopping it. You must rinse it off with clean water if you intend to store it between uses.

It's use is primarily to remove organics, making the water less yellow and potentially removing toxins.
 
Like Randy said, carbon is mostly used to clear the water and remove toxins/ organics. Start off by using a small amount (usually half of the suggested amount on the package)

The tank will tell you when to change it. You'll notice the water becoming less clear(could be anywhere from 2 weeks to a month) you will get a feel for how often you need to change it.
