Good morning
Just wondering what’s the alkalinity on a mixed carbonate solution? Meaning once Carbonate powder is mixed as directed what’s the alkalinity number the solution should be at?
Thank You

You can check it if you have an alk test kit. for instance i use the hanna checker it calls for 10ml for the sample to test. i used 2.5ml of the solution with 7.5ml of rodi water. then times the DKH results by 4.

I know I can check it. My question is what is the number you SHOULD get after mixing the labeled amount of Carbonate mix and RO water? I am trying to verify my mix

Hi. Did i understand it correctly that you want to know how much you have to dosed to get a certain amount in the tank ?

No
I guess I didn’t make myself clear. I am trying to find out what’s the alkalinity value on the carbonate mixture once its mixed according to your mixing parameters.
By that I mean, is the alkalinity on a freshly made batch 7.5? 8.0? 11?

HI. Oh now i see. Ok. It’s bit different with our system. After the mixing you will have a fully saturated Stocksolution. ( this has several hundred Alk ). If you dose the stocksolution in your tank you can calculate a alkalinity incresing of. 0,5 dkH / by 10 ml in 26 UsGal. . We recommend an alkalinty between 6,5 - 8 dkH
