Cardinal won't eat frozen

I purchased a five line cardinal a couple of weeks ago. I'm having a hard time getting him to eat anything other than brine shrimp. I've tried mysis, a couple different brands of frozen mix, a couple different pellets, and flake. Soaked them in garlic (nothing there).

I've tried "fooling" him by mixing the frozen and mysis in with the brine shrimp too, but he's smarter than that.

Any suggestions appreciated!

Following. My Bangaii will only eat mysis. He’s warming up to brine, and ignores Rods frozen altogether and forget pellets or flakes. I’ve soaked it all in selco boost

Have you tried any of the LRS foods? I have a trio of yellow lined cardinals that go crazy for it. Might try roe of some kind too. Sometimes they like smaller foods.

I haven't tried LRS since it's not something I generally use, but I can pick some up. I have some Roe in the freezer I'll try that next.

Skip a day or two of feeding. Fish are less picky when they are hungry.

LOL I tried that....he just got scary skinny I appreciate the suggestion though.

Maybe now that he isn't so thin I'll try again. He showed interest in the roe so maybe I'll skip tonight and tomorrow morning, then go with the roe and some mysis tomorrow night. Those have been the two things that he hasn't completely ignored.
