I've heard mixed reviews on whether they are aggresive.....anyone have experience with them?

no exp with them but have heard from multiple sources they are aggressive.

Yeah they're a more aggressive tang. I've had five, three of which were very aggressive, two were quite timid or at least not aggressive.

It may be important to note that I've kept them with several other tangs with the exception of one of my "timid" blues that was a juvenile by itself for two years in a 54 corner (sold it when it reached 2" to a good friend who says he is now tank boss)

Its strange because on Liveaquaria it says they are peaceful

Mine is very peaceful but he's just a juvie and smaller than most of the fish in the tank. I have 10 wrasses and expect he won't bother them even when he's larger. The pyramid butterfly and copperband may be different. If so he'll find a new home.

Yeah I very much disagree with them.

Everyone seems to think sohal tangs are so nasty too but mine have always been moderately aggressive at best, as have all of those my friends and peers have kept over the years. I find powder blues, powder Browns, some zebrasoma tangs, and even the occasional Achilles to be far more aggressive. Carribean Blues as well. Powder blues are by far the nastiest of all tangs without question IMO

Most the time those stats are way off lol
They call this guy expert only I have found him to be no different than any other except he's more peaceful and doesn't nip corals and eats like a shark lol

There are exceptions to everything. Potters angels are definitely more delicate during shipping and initial introduction than most other dwarf angels, but once used to captive life can be relatively hardy, though are also sensitive to changes in water chemistry.

Most of the time LA is spot on with their recommendations, though, as stated earlier, there are always exceptions.

I agree 100% the transition is where they struggle but once established they can be pretty hardy
