Has anyone kept Caribbean spiny lobsters successfully long term? I read that they grow really fast and would like to put a few tiny ones in my 55 gal dt but I'm not sure how long it will take to outgrow it.

This one isn't even full grown so no, not really a good idea to put them in a 55.

As for growth rates its pretty fast if they receive what they need

They are pretty agreesive. If you plan to have just the lobster and nothing else, and also a plan to re home it when its to big. Then go ahead.

Also in Florida there is a size limit.

Why don’t you try it. Like others say I will assume it’s aggressive but if it gets to big just eat it :)

I'll probably just let it go if it gets too big...[emoji6]

Not a good idea to release captive critters back in to the ocean. Check your local laws...it may be illegal also.
