Those prior examples were mighty cloudy

Yeah, to be fair it could be just the different sand that is more cloudy. It just looked like a bacteria bloom to me from that photo. I used half Caribsea fiji pink and half Natures Ocean, both live sand, which initially I didn't like because the Natures Ocean was really cloudy.

I will say this though, and it might be a big factor in clearing up the water. I have a built in sump, with two filter pads on both overflows. OP, has none. So, in his case, rinsing the sand prior to using it, would absolutely avoided this.

So, either remove the sand and rinse like brandon said, or get a hob filter and wait it out.

Either adding the bacteria or just simply leaving the pumps on has resolved the issue.

Dr. Tim sells a flocking agent product called Clear Up. It will remove the tiny sand particles from the water column.

You can also run 1-5 micron filter socks to clear it.

So, I wish I would have found this before my Tank upgrade transfer. I used new live sand and transferred all my rock, but should I start over and rinse my sand?
