caribsea reef rock vs marco rock

Hello! I am in the process of purchasing used equipment as it becomes available and I have found am opportunity to purchase 21 pieces of caribsea reef rock for a pretty low price. I had originally planned to use marco rock due to price and flexibility of design, but in truth I never thought I'd be able to afford a higher grade product (this caribsea lot might be half the cost off marco rock).

I was just hoping to get some opinions from some folks with reef building experience. Is the benefit of using the more pourous reef rock worth the tradeoffs of a lower capability to design your reef rock.

Welcome! I order dry rock, I don't care for the fake reef rock like caribbean. I want dry rock that was real and make it into live. Its up to you tho! Marco rock is good but this stuff from amazon is the same stuff and cheaper. I got a lot of it.

Thanks a lot for the reply! I wasn't aware of the coraline algae seeding product, I'll definitely give that a try.

You may have been a little mixed up about the rock though, I've linked you to the correct product. Apparently it is "fossilized coral".

Marco rock is also fossilized rock.
