Carnation leather melting/dying?

Was given to me by a friend, it wouldnt stand after 3-4 days so he suggested i hang it thats when i noticed its foot? looked like it was melting..anything i can do?

It doesn’t have a “foot”. Anemones have a foot. Hanging it was bad advice. Put it back upright and give it some light. It may just be shedding as leathers do periodically. What are your water parameters?

My bad i should have said "base" instead of "foot",I will unhang him asap
