I'm back, again, but this time about my yellow tang...he is carnivores and it kind of worries me. While he is not skinny, he ignores my algae (live dragons breath and algae sheets) but eats any panton, spirulina brine or krill that I put in the tank. While I know this may not be normal, should I be worried or just accept it since he's not sickly looking. This is week two with him, thanks. (Side question: since he was alone at the pet store, and in my tank, do you think it is too late to as two more tangs or would he accept the tank mates?) Thanks again

Mine is a garbage disposal; will eat any and everything (was picking at my monti yesterday for some reason). With that said, it does devour Two Little Fishies sheets as well (I toss a small piece on a clip mid day for him to pick at). I wouldn't worry about it much at this point.

It's normal, tangs readily eat meaty prepared foods in aquarium settings. Continue to offer seaweed as it's good to offer a varied diet. As for dding tangs we would need to know more info like your tank size for starters. Adding fish to ta tank with established tangs can be tricky but plenty of us have had success and I'm sure plenty of advice is here on the site.

I wouldn't worry at all. I had a scopas tang in my last tank that stuck his nose up to algaes but ate everything else (frozen worms, shrimp, krill, flakes, pellets) with vigor. He was a chunky monkey despite his distaste for greens by the time I sold him off.

Don't worry about it. Continue to offer algae, but if the tang doesn't eat don't worry, and don't let the algae break down in the tank if it's nori sheets.

Adding tangs may or may not work out, depending on tank dimensions and proposed species.
