Carpet 2nd try

Here it goes. Giving this carpet another try. LFS said they had it in Stock for a month. It's about 10-12 inches. Been here since Friday, dug it's foot and pulled sand around foot.

Looks decent. Mouth open...just a bit, but most likely stress from the move. Keep a eye on it though.

thanks, I'm happy its sticking to that spot i put it in. that's Nem Land, lol.
from under the tank i can see its foot attached to the bottom of the glass...
At night it stretches a little and you can see the foot looking like a mushroom stem/base, looks cool.

Now I'm hoping my clowns will try to host in it.... on that side of tank are the Nearly naked, they stay on top all the time by the power head. they have never shown interest in the BTA right there in front of them...

@BigPapaland i was at first, i got a smaller carpet a month back and it was sick but while it was in there no issues at all. They leave my Bubbles alone and they left the last carpet alone and so far they left this one alone as well. Food falls on the Carpet and the angel even came over to inspect and just looked at it and left it alone. The Tangs as well. I was worried about my wrasse and gobie and the LFS i got the wrasse and carpet from said, it won't happen, the wrasse is too strong at this point to get caught. He may be wrong but so far my angels don't bother any of my nems.

So update, its been over 2 months and no losses to the carpet. Carpet looks good, mouth opens up a little but ever since i got it. By little i mean like 1 inch at most, a little less.
It constantly has my gobie spitting a lot of sand on it daily.
At night it closes up very small, like it swallows itself every night. That normal ?
Every morning its back up to being open large again.

Should get a bit smaller at night, but if it is getting really really small (( almost fully retracted into the sand )), something might be bothering it. Keep an eye on that angel, could be picking at it.

I watch them almost all day at work. Have a fos cam on the tank. Most i can see is the gobie piling sand on it and my giant clam. In fact, at night they both close up, clam and nem. then day time fully open. The nem isnt ALWAYS retracted at night, but when it is, its almost gone... like it swallows itself.

more like it swallows itself... i will try to get a picture at night. so you dont see any green unless some is popping out the mouth. It does not dig itself, but you see its stem only exposed.
