Can someone please help ?
I just used melafix and pimafix for what seems to be a brooklynella outbreak on my clownfish. Suddenly 15 min after adding my carpet anemone deflated and is inside out , is it dying ?

I agree with the slug master. Those meds will help with soothing symptoms, but will not get rid of brook. They are also highly debated on their effects in a reef aquarium.

For future issues, heavily research anything you are going to place into a reef aquarium, do not trust the bottles label.

its bothered, you should never dose meds in a reef tank. also, im unsure those meds will lead to any meaningful improvement in

I only medicated directly since its supposed to be reef safe . Sadly my clownfish did not make it seems like the tail loss was too rapid , no signs on other fish and anemone started to look better after a few hrs. Do you recommend I dont add anything directly ?

absolutely, it can do more harm than good.

Yep, always have a hospital/QT tank on hand for treating with meds. I think the Petco sale is still going on. Half price tanks up to 75 gallon I believe. Get at least a 20 gallon tank and a sponge filter setup with a couple extra sponges for these occasions.

Thank you!
btw, if you cannot QT, consider only buying fish from dedicated QT (Dr reef, tsm) or invert only sellers (reef cleaners is the best in the invert business). and remember to fallow your tank for 75 days before adding more fish right now.

I have been qt new fish however I purchased a few tang and a clown that were in an established "parasite/bacteria" free environment and seems to be they brought in some type of infection. I believe it was brooklynella but only one of my clowns seemed to be infected ... thank you for the tip ill hold before 75 days prior to adding .
