Carpet anemone eating ?

jsut got this in my tank a few days ago is this normal ? is it eating those things on top of it or should I pick them off

That’s it’s inside turned out. Do not mess with it or feed it and that’s a carpet nem. should be placed on the bottom of the sand
 
Mine on bottom left corner and should be fed a piece of krill or meaty piece at least 1x per week.
 
These are difficult animals to acclimate. Gaping or flaccid mouth is a sign of unhappiness, maybe even infection. The black stuff can be the remains of a meal, but more likely expelling some of its zooxanthellae. Haddon's should be placed on the sand not on the rocks. I would not feed it until it recovers (if it recovers). I don't personally target feed my anemone s- they grow too fast if I do.
 
Moved him to to the bottom corner. seems to looo better now ?
