I have a carpet anemone. Not use what kind it is. I've had it for about 3 weeks. It's very sticky and has not been eating and it's mouth is open. Nothing is wrong with its foot and my clown loves it. What wrong with my carpet anemone..I was told to feed it sliver sides is this true? Please help also have a lta that is doing great. Is it normal for my clown to host both anemones? Also dose anyone know what kind of clown this is?

it's a haddoni species and it's sick. You need to treat him for 7 days with ciprofloxacin in a hospital tank while doing 100% water changes every night. There is a sticky in the nem forum describing how it should be done. Do not feed it silversides as they can get anemones sick especially carpets who are more susceptible. Feed it fresh salmon or PE mysis.

Haddoni like 4" of substrate/sand. If it was mine, I would not treat, yet, but it looks unhappy to me, not sick. Not to say, if it remains as unhappy as it appears, that it won't become sick, but to me, I would improve its environment before I put it through the stress of treatment. Don't feed silversides, throw them out. I wouldn't feed it until it's mouth remains closed, atleast a week or 2. Feed human grade food from store, raw scallops, raw salmon, raw shrimp. No other stuff on it. You also didn't mention anything about your tank. Lights? Sump? Water parameters with numbers? Maintenance? Skimmer? Why the tank level is so low? Just to name a few. Much more info is needed to give good advice. Best of luck.

Also no those clowns will not pair, also I wouldn't keep two species of anemones in the same tank asking for trouble.

As mentioned earlier, the carpet nem doesn't necessarily look sick but it just looks unhappy IMO. With one that size it may be a hassle trying to get him out. I have has mine for about 1yr now and he's pushing 6-8" across when fully open. I have a clarkii's and a saddleback that host this beast. I did have a bta in there but did opt to move him out and into another tank out of fear of being stung.
