Can someone ID carpet anemone? I want to cross check is with the compatibility sticky.

My lfs has had it for 11 months (september of last year) and I am aware of their fish eating habits. Thanks in advance

Also... Will a carpet eat sexy shrimp?

They can eat anything they can get ahold of even clownfish if it decides to. I have a carpet in my tank along with sexy shrimp that lives in a red tip anemone. I had 2 sexy shrimp but at night the shrimp venture out and I think the carpet got it along with several Mandarin gobies and a couple emerald crabs. You just never know

But there is nothing better than watching your clownfish swimming in its host carpet..

I have a maroon clown and I don't think it would be hosted by a carpet...it would be a nice color clash though, red on green

Carpets are the Cadillac of anemones. All clowns will host .

The only thing truly holding me back (and why I want to know which kind it is) is because I'm not sure whether or not it will go under chemical warfare with my lta

If you decide on getting it it doesn't like much flow. You want to keep it as still as possible and it will stay. If to much flow it will move and kill everything in its path. This is an anemone you don't want to touch.. I've had mine for about a year now and it's never moved but I keep it in the corner with lots of room and as little flow as possible.. I love mine favorite thing in my tank..

I agree. Haddoni. The mouth and low profile tentacles give it away.

They have it for a year, but of course when I get there....it's sold

:( Sorry to hear. Hopefully it went to a good home. You will find another one.

You're looking specifically for a carpet anemone?

Well when I saw it, I liked the look so I went home and did a couple weeks of research on them...so yesish
