Hi I'm having a bare bottom sps dominated tank, i really wish to have a carpet anemone for my clownfish. Could carpet anemone live without sand?

I don't think it would matter... it may mover around until it settles, although it can get caught in equipment whilst its looking for a place to attach itself so be careful

It can. I hope you are aware though, the carpet anemone will eat any slower fish or inverts that get too close to it. I've even heard about them eating a clown but its very rare.

My lfs does it, but it just sits and doesn't attach

Yea, I heard of it too. Do you have any suggested anemone for sps dominated tank?

I would say flowers or maxi minis but they won't host clowns. Long tips definitely need sand. Bubble tips will go on the rocks but usually take a long time to settle and can suddenly want to move again.
