I have a beautiful blue carpet anemone that is about 14 inches wide. I was sure it was a gigantea, but someone I respect thinks it might be a haddoni. It is a blue carpet with about 3/4 inch tentacles that are sticky. The verrculi are light blue and stop at the top of the base. Here are pictures:

What do you think? Any tell-tale signs that give you that impression?

IMO i think you are right, it doesnt look like a haddoni to me.
That Wellso is amazing !!!!! WOW...
I mean the whole tank is... you got some big pieces there !!!

Not Haddoni, but Stichodactyla gigantea and a beauty.

Any chance you can add a shot of the underside of the disc?

Looks like I gig to me from what you have supplied so far.

Stichodactyla gigantea and a nice blue one too boot. Looks a little light in color but overall looks pretty healthy. Not one of the easier anemones too keep and can catch and eat fish.

There have been more of these blue ones showing up lately and even the people I consider advanced anemone keepers have been loosing some of them.
