Hi All

my carpet had a live about yesterday, when I got home I noticed a few bits floating around the tank and saw a bit of damage to the side. I think it dinked the powerhead on its travels but I thought I would share a few pictures and see what you all think.
Thanks in advance!

How old is the tank and what are your parameters? You should invest in an anemone guard for your powerhead as well. You can either make one or buy one.
Tank is new but linked in to my 6yo system, I’ve just set up its own tank so it doesn’t sting everything. Powerhead has a nem guard on it. Nitrate - 3ppm, phos - 0.31

Okay that’s good. Just monitor and hope for the best it doesn’t look too bad.

Welcome to R2R! Lots of people who keep carpets will also keep cipro on hand. Should an infection present itself, you'll have the meds ready to go.

Thanks man, yeah I’ve ordered some already just waiting for it to arrive. Cheers
