Carpet Anemone

I bought this carpet anemone a week ago. It seems to be doing well. It hasn’t moved and it’s mouth is still closed. I have tried to feed it a couple of times with LRS Reef Frenzy when I feed the tank but I have never seen it eat anything. Any help or what I should look for if it takes a turn for the worst would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Is the food at least sticking to it's tentacles?

It can take awhile for a nem to acclimate. Of It looks healthy and mouth is closed I wouldn’t worry too much about feeding right away.

What he said.. we all tend to worry about feeding Nems particular a carpet. I have several for many years and found they are happiest when not fed, best seems to best when they grab some small amount of mysis floating around during fish feeding.

Looks healthy just sit back and enjoy..

All is looking good I feed mine small dried brine shrimp by hand when I spot feed corals easy and 2 small ones a few times a week keeps him happy and he is getting to be 14 inches across

I wrote to Amoo and a couple of others when I first got mine, he wouldn't eat and he retracted WAY under a rock. That was about 4 mos ago and it was about 3" across. Here it is today. I feed it once a week either a cut up frozen shrimp or small clams from grocery store. It's about 10" across now.
