Anyone with a carpet nem have any input for me?

So my new carpet changes a few times in each day... Certain times of day it looks normal and happy while other times at day its totally flat and the mouth is a bit open. I get worried then the next day its back to being closed mouth and looking inflated and happy...
My 7 BTA do something similar so to me its normal but the carpet really looks beat when it flattens out... doesnt look attached securely either.
Pizza nem been looking great since day 1.

So all day it was nice and open catching light and I just got home and it turned itself upside down and looks like this. ....

I believe its a Haddoni the LFS told me they were both carpets, and i know the other is not. I put it up for ID and got Pizza nem. which is doing great.
So you think treatment?
It starts the day like this, flips and opens up and looks great... after a few hours it does that above... Then after a few hours it flips and opens back up again...

A floating anemone is a stressed anemone. If able I would begin treatment.

My Haddoni stay put after acclimation. Placement is in an area with finer sand, mod lighting and flow, attached at the base of the rock under the sand. Haddoni ime like to bury the column/foot.

You can try putting the anemone in a very low flow area in wide diameter PVC pipe or move some sand to allow the anemone to attach to the glass bottom.

I would pull it and start treatment in a separate tank.

I had several S. haddonis present like this (( before treatment was known )), and none of them ever recovered. IMO/E, if treatment isn't started ASAP, this anemone won't make it.

You mentioned having Bubble Tip Anemones? Are they in the same tank? If so your cause may be chemical warfare.

I have about 2 5-6 inch bubble tips and about 4 small bubbles tips. I also bought a Pizza NEM that came with the carpet from the same tank on the same rock.
All other nems are fine except the carpet. It doesn't float around it has been in the same spot but daily it flips over and shrinks then next day its back to looking nice and then deflates again.
Where do i get Cipro from?

I get all my antibiotics on eBay now. A lot cheaper, and have been working for me.

IMO, this Haddoni is trying to acclimate, and he's in very poor condition on his down side. However, I'm not convinced he's got an infection. A Nem on it's back screams serious problems. Although I don't see much deflation. Marked deflation continuing daily usually indicates a sick anemone. Like trex said, you can pull him and treat, it certainly won't hurt. If it were me, I would check ur No3 and Po4. Test those two and get back with us with ur findings. Meanwhile, post test, do a 20% water change.

just an fyi it died the next morning. Did not get a chance to treat or even order the meds. All other nems in tank look great, infact amazing.
Phospates are 0
Nitrates are about 25 and dosing vodka and lowering them.
Salinitity about 1.025
PH 8.19
temp 75.6
Cal was a little low on 390
Alk 10.9
Mag around 1250 and adjusting.
I think my carbon may be doing a small amount of stripping on the water.
Other than that my corals are opening up great and fish are amazing as well...
I also just did a water change of 35 gals... this past Friday

NO3 is high, and the Vodka may have irritated him.

Ur temp is low, is it normally that low?

78-80 is ideal

I lost a carpet anemone when my nitrates got up to about 25 ppm, same as your tank. Also, I assumed that they would prefer intense light since their primary food is photosynthetic algae that grows inside them, but I learned after the fact that they actually do not like intense light. My anemone never moved from its original location until it started getting sick, at which point it started moving like yours, and would always stop moving once it got to a shady area in the tank. Then it died before I could get my nitrates under control. I've since added a denitrator and augmented my water change schedule, everything is great now.

Temp is usually that low, i try to keep it there.
I already get about 1.5-2 gals of water evaporated every 2 days.
