Hello! Today my carpet has been looking pretty sick. I don't know if I should take him out and put him in a container to take to the lfs tomorrow .if it is dying I don't want to it to nuke my tank. My params are all good and I have only been feeding once a week or so. Clowns are still trying to host.

It's been in my tank for about a month with no apparent problems. And advise is greatly appreciated .

Is that upside down or the top of the nem?

It doesn’t look good I’m aftaid. Can you get a better more in focus picture of the middle?
I can try! I think to make sure I don't kill off my tank I should remove it. :( Super sad

If it looks like it’s expelling it’s stomach (White stringy like mass) then it’s most likely a goner but it’s easy to panic with nems. Has it done this before at all? Have you witnessed it expelling waste and if so is this completely different?

Yeah normally when it expells it kinda just poops and goes back to normal size. This has been going on for a few hours and stringy stuff is most definitely present. I read that it can nuke a tank if not removed so I have it in a bucket for now. Absolutely no sting or sticky when I touch it also.. I think it's a goner

You have probably done the right thing in removing it then. If you have a small powerhead or wavemaker add it to the bucket with a heater and keep an eye on it. If it is dying it will disintegrate fairly quickly.
