10 to 14 inch range. 1 of the pictures is with lights on and orange filter lens.
Look for ID for proper care

@OrionN looks like a gigantea anemone to me and a really nice one.
Thanks. Just picked it up on Sunday and got hosted within seconds of entering the tank. Never thought I’d say this but it makes my red carpet look dull.
I thought possibly a gigantea but am not sure because I thought the tentacles could be as long as they are because of the size and also thought giganteas are a little longer

Looks like a haddoni at first glance. I don’t see the purple verrecue down the column typical of gigs. Tentacles also look a bit stubby, which gigs can look that way initially, but more common of haddoni.

I see more the blue foot. It can be a hybrid haddoni/gigantea. My green hybrid have blue foot but very faint verrucae.

It could just be a phenotypic trait unique to that individual. I read a paper that studied the major clownfish hosting anemone species and found that magnificas were more closely related to giganteas. Not to say haddoni can't hybridize with gigantea, but maybe there's simply a subspecies that don't have strong verrucae. Another explanation could be a geographically isolated group that has developed less pronounced verrucae over generations. At the hobbyist level it's hard to say, we can just conjecture.

A closer and better lit photo of the column of this red carpet would certainly help us determine if it's haddoni or not!

Thinking young red gigantia myself

That looks like a Red Gigantea, which is a unicorn of the anemones if it is really a Red anemone. I would love to see it under white light to see exactly what color it is.
@D-Nak, @Taylor t,@MarinaP
It’s definitely very very pink. Just took the white light pictures (below). With the blue lights on it becomes a highlighter pink which is near impossible to capture on picture where it looks different than a red carpet. The last picture has a red carpet on the left with this one on the right

Please take a picture under white light of the top part of the column. Use a stick or something to fold the anemone oral plate over a little so you can get a clear, in-focus picture of this area. Also a close up picture of a tentacle or two would be great.

Yeah, we need a good quality shot of the upper column to see if there's clear pigmented verracue. OrionN you have haddonis right? It's been 13 years since I've had one so I can't remember if they have non-pigmented verracue-style dots down the column or not.

Definitely a little on the bleached side, it'll darken up with time if kept healthy. Did you pick this up at a LFS?

Do these work?

True Haddoni have tan foot, and no verrucae.
I consider this anemone, not 100% normal Haddoni. IMO, it is a hybrid or else a sub species of carpet. I have one exactly just like this, except my anemone the verrucae is slightly more prominent. Mine also have blue foot. He acts just in between the Haddoni and Gigantea. Tentacle lenght is also longer than Haddoni but shorter than Gigantea.

That’s unfortunate. I’ve never seen a carpet like this and thought the coloring was pretty unique and the white under the polyps is what made the pink look more unique. Yes this is how I picked it up this past Sunday
