Will snails and hermits increase the amount of fish your tank can contain?

Not so much. They are a good resource for keeping things tidy, but still want to be mindful of your stocking. What size tank you have and what were you thinking of putting in. Maybe it will be fine without worrying.

I have a 20 gallon and am already set with a tailspot blenny, firefish, and two clownfish but I was wondering if I could add a yellow clown goby in there. According to the saltwater stocking calculator I am at 100%.

Agreed, sounds like you got a good balance. There is more to consider when adding fish than just the clean up crew. They can only do so much and most it is for algae control.

I think you could do the goby, but first I would make sure if you do that you have a good set up for him, sand and rocks for him to make his home.
