So I've been running my CaRx for almost a year now, pretty awesome I must say. I don't usually test Mag but did recently and mine is at 1300. I use Tropic Marin Pro-Reef salt & they say they measure Mag in the 1300-1350 range. I don't do water changes very often & when I do they are small.

Does the Reborn media I am using in the CaRx replenish Mag as well, or is my tank just not using that much?

Alk is stable with the CaRx around 8, Cal 420.

Just wondering if I need to add some Mag to the second stage of the CaRx.
thx

CA Rx replenish most of what is needed in the reef to keep major parameters stable. This is why dosing is usually not necessary. Now some of the minors may not be supplemented, but I have never dosed in 12yrs running my ca rx and I do small, not often water changes. However, the system is gorg and softies and is very mature.

I'm not sure what its exact magnesium level is, but it may have enough to satisfy needs. :)

Thx about to start dosing Sodium Nitrate & want to make sure everything else is good and stable.
