Since making abundant changes to my tank recently as well as a few negative issues I have recently dealt with, the settings on my CaRx were above my new requirements. Now since re-setting everything about a month ago my CaRx is keeping in check with Ca for the most part but my DKH is being depleted. I do dose to catch things up along with regular water changes but my question is this: What factor ('s) do I need to change as to maintain the higher Alk without dropping the Ca too much? Slow down the effluent, add a BBL/sec., lower the Co2 solenoid high setting a few points? I would just like to balance it, for instance my Ca is 440 (400 desired) and my DKH was 7.0. Now dosing Alk to raise it to 10.0 and that is where I would like to maintain the level of my DKH. Tested today. Figured I would ask before research, LOL!

Thanks,
Ernie

Other things that you need to see is your affluent dropping from your calcium reactor.
In my case the bb/sec are fixed and are controlled by ph, so I maintain a ph inside on my CaRx fixed too , also my affluent is fixed at 40 ml/min. The main thing that I controll is my alk in my aquarium if my alk drop I increase the ph inside CaRx until alk in my aquarium keep stable.
Is a good idea that you dosing meanwhile your are tuning your CaRx. My recommendation is fix the affluent and bb/min in your CaRx, test your alk in same hours every day. If your alk dropped increase ph inside CaRx if your alk increased reduce the Ph
Good luck

BBls are fixed: 3bbl/sec., My solenoid is controlled by my controller, H-7.8/ L-7.2, Effluent not quite full open (using an aqualifter) haven't measured flow or DKH on effluent yet...that is next.

Could you close more your limits for ph?
I like to have mine in 7.28 and h is 7.30 and low 7.26. When you fix it is going to be more easy. The next step is the affluent. That part for me was difficult
