Any RODI gurus know whether it is more effective to substitute a catalytic carbon refillable canister in place of a standard carbon block for chloramines? I have 3.5ppm chloramines in my tap and have noticed my carbon blocks barely last 5-6 months before needing changed. I have 2 carbon blocks and was wondering if it would be better to substitute the first carbon block for a catalytic carbon canister. You don't see them around as much in our hobby rodi but I see them used quite a bit in drinking water applications.

Thanks in advance.
