We had a Red Sea Max 65 gallon tank. At 2:45 yesterday morning, we woke to the sound of pump cavitation. There were about 20 gallons of water on the floor already and water was just pouring out. We were able to save almost all the livestock and able to rehome everything. Does anyone have any ideas of what might have happened? The tank was about ten years old. It had been in storage in Florida for about 4 years. It had been up and running for 3 and a half months. The only thing that happened recently was the lid slipped out of my hand and slammed down on the tank about three days earlier. Could that have caused it? Thanks for your thoughts.

Probably anyone's guess but I don't trust curved glass corners. Too many stories of them cracking.

Did the lid slam near that corner?

Yes, closer to that side than the center. Red Sea people seemed to think if it were the lid slamming, it would have fractured right away and not later.
I would think the same thing too. Generally any physical strain in glass shows up right away(Glassblower of over 15 years here)

looking at it again, there is a possibility that it might have gotten a small crack/chip from it slamming shut and then the pressure of the water over the next few days made it break more ending up in a full fail situation... :(
