So I just came back from drinking (3:20 am), and I remembered that early today I had to turn off my lights off before scheduled because I had added my 8th and probably final fish to my 40 gallon (unless I exchange a fish, note: all my fish are less than 4" max size and are smaller than that currently except for my redhead gairy wrasse whom is to grow to 5" but is still 3"). A McCoscar's wrasse is my new member!
Sadly, my favourite wrasse, the six line wrasse (whom I named Lyman, after the Lyman line series [physicist/chemist get the name]) decided to go berserk with aggression against my 1.5" McCosker.
So, I come back, 6 beers I me, an I think, "hmmmmmm.... my six line is deep in sleep as can be, I'll try and stick my hand in and see if I can catch him", surely enough, after I lifted a the rock where he usually sleeps he swam and went back to sleep in a corner. I placed.my hand gentle oferhim in a spoon shape and he just felt into my fi gets. I pulled him out and placed him in a mating cage for the mean while.
I did this with six beers in me. 7:00 pm, earlier today, I was reading soooooo many comments on ppl saying that it it soooooo hard to get a six line out of the tank (I have experienced this before tbh, I couldn't get my six.line out till he stressed.my royal gramma to death).
In the end I hope this six beer comment helps the ppl in need of capturing their six line.
Steps:
1. Turn lights off in case u introduced the harassed fish.
2. Drink six beers (jk), I am not promoting alcohol haha.
3. When u r sure ur six line is asleep, set it light at 1٪ and prosecute him gently with your hand (if ur tank is reachable.
4. Cage him else where.
5. This is a question: what do I do with my six line? Should I keep him caged for a week and then release him and see if he gets along with my McCosker? He is very peaceful with my other fairy wrasse (who is 3" redhead fairy wrasse).
Hope this helps someone. I created this account here to help. I've noticed ppl criticizing, if u r to do so, state opinions with facts not attacks.
It is 3:45 am, sorry for any grammatical errors.
