Anybody have any ideas on how to catch "Hard to catch" fish? Aside from taking everything out? I've got 3 Damsels that I need to evict so I can start stocking the tank. I know Damsels are hard to catch. I know they're mean little sons of B!#@tchs. I know I shouldn't have used them to cycle a tank. I know all the horror stories about them. I did it and now I need to get them out. Any ideas short of taking everything out of the tank would be helpfull. Thank you in advance for not lecturing me. lol

I use the solo cup method. Little mysis in the bottom of the cup and jerk em out of there.

I have tried fish traps and diy fish traps with zero success. I have had success with catching a chromis with a fly fishing hook and a piece of mysis. If you're concerned about the hook you could snip off the barb, or buy a barb less hook. I went days with the traps, where the hook took minutes. Good luck.

I've used 2 very large fish nets to remove the hard to catch fish. Best if you had help with this one. One comes in from behind, the one in front of the fish kinda just forces the fish into the other net. But they have to at least coem out of hiding to force this one to happen.

I have the same problem, I just left them in. Tried everything but the fish hook. If you try and net they hide in the rocks, wouldn't go near traps.

Made this DIY trap outta a 2 liter seltzer bottle. I caught my one of my Damsel in 2 seconds. Was going to place it on the bottom of my 90g and he swam in while it was still in my hand maybe 3 inches under water, couldn't believe it. Took him to lfs, almost 3in long and bully
