Catching Micro Bubbles?

Anyone foresee any issues with me running these sponges here? They're for catching the micro bubbles only. My fuge light is getting salt creep on it from the bubbles popping under it.

I use a couple sponges in my sump for various reasons too.
I do clean them on a fairly regular basis.
