I just caught my peppermint shrimp eating my favia's and bothering my fungia. Ineed to get them out. Now! Does anyone know an easy way of doing this? I was thinking about putting food in a net and leaving it on the bottom of the tank and then when it went in, grab the net... any other suggestions without breaking my sps corals or creating a mess?

This works great! I've caught peppermints, sexy shrimp, and the occasional crab in traps like this:

Fish traps work pretty well.

Use a litre bottle with the top cut off and put back on so the mouth hole faces inward.

Throw some fish food in there and they will eventually go in.

This could also be a last resort for you. A small amount of interceptor will slow them down considerably.

In a 90 gallon maybe a less than a 1/4 of a pill.

If you snatch them out at first sign of sluggishness they'll be ok. If they hide somewhere you'll probably lose them.
