Catching up to the RODI crowd

So after 35 continuous and I think primarily successful years in the hobby, I finally bit the bullet and made my first gallons of RODI water! I purchased a BRS 7stage system with water saver (yea all in) and got it rigged on a stainless cart. Plan is to have the diverted valve before a shower head in a shower stall we don’t typically use. Waiting on parts from Amazon. Using sink for now for the water line. This has been my filling station already for the past 4-5 years. I don’t have a good place to permanently mount so though the cart might be a good start.

Congrats on the change, I know of a LFS and they do not sell SW because everyone in the area gets it free due to the City Aquarium but they sell RO/DI like crazy. The hobby is very vibrant but they still choose to buy it from the LFS.

Took 3 tries and a few bucks in miscellaneous stuff that didn’t work but finally got the RODI rigged neatly to shower with proper pressure and no leaks. Next plan is to recycle the waste water, thinking in the pool for evaporation make up water but here in Connecticut that only works Memorial Day to Labor Day.
