I need some plans for catching a wrasse. I have a medium size melanurus wrasse (4") and he just killed our clam for no reason. In the tank for at least 8 months just fine, then yesterday he turned and killed it so he has to go. I just need ideas for a fish trap, a net will NOT work for wrasses, I know this mutch. thank you

You could try cutting the opened end off of a 2 liter bottle and inverting it. Squirt some food in there with a turkey baster and hopefully he'll make his way in. Good luck!

Don't feed for a few days, then use a

I had to dedo my rock work when trying to remove a mystery wrasse from my tank

Do the plastic bottle trick. I put a small mirror in the bottom as well. They usually don't like themselves, and attack...lol Worked on a bluehead wrasse I had.

Fish traps work great for melanarus wrasses, see if your LFS has a loner you can borrow.

Wierdest thing ever, put the 2 liter bottle in the tank, and baited it, didnt get the cap on, and i turned around, look back at the tank and he was in there
So great, Thanks guys
