I took of my diy algae scrubber and purchased some Cato instead. My light is a led grow light. I have it on a timer for eight hours a night. The Cato looks a little bleached out. I reset the timer for four hours. I can’t dim my light and it’s about 8 inches above the water. Any thoughts?

From the picture, it really doesn't look like too much light. In my experience, chaeto loves light. How long have you had it? Have you noticed any growth? You may want to actually bring the light closer to the fuge. Let's see what others think.

I’ve only had it a couple weeks. I’m still a rookie at this. My phosphate level is .65 I don’t think that’s too terrible. Thank you for your help. I keep forgetting patients is the key lol
