Where did you catch them? As the above poster said, they look kind of like cardinals, but without more info, it’s difficult to identify based off these pictures.

I caught them at the Kenya coast. Maybe this photo a little better. They were in a pool with this other small fish

The first pic looks like a group of cardinals the blue and yellow fish could possibly be some sort of damsel.

Try looking up either Pempheris oualensis or Pempheris schwenki keeping in mind that if they were found in a tide pool they may be juveniles and lacking full coloration.

Thanks for this. Pempheris oualensis looks pretty close. They are interesting little fish that bob up and down continuously in the tank
